We want our rescued pets to have loving, permanent homes and will do all that we can to match them with the right home and family.  Please let us know what you are looking for in a new pet (i.e. personality, activity level, and family compatibility) so that we can help you find the perfect new family member!  Pet ownership is a commitment of many years, and you will receive many years of joy and love from your new pet.  All of our rescued pets live with a local foster family until their forever home is found.  They are all  checked by a veterinarian,  current on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered and dogs are micro-chipped.

MOKIE IS IN A FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO MD ONCE ADOPTED.

Mokie was on the critical list at a local kill shelter when she caught the eye of her foster mom. A lover of black dogs in general and a big heart for puppies meant it was FREEDOM  RIDE day for little Mokie . Fast forward to now,  Mokie has received all of her vaccines (3 sets), her rabies, her microchip, and has been spayed.  

Notes from her foster mom:

We anticipate Mokie will nt be over 40 lbs when she reaches maturity. While she is an active puppy, her overall activity level is medium. Mokie loves kids (over the age of 10 with excellent doggy manners), other dogs (all sizes), ALL of the toys, and practicing her leash walking skills. Mokie's best home will have a secure fenced yard where she can run and play safely. An excellent history of veterinary care for current and previous pets is required. Adopters with a flexible schedule are preferred, as this puppy is still working on housetraining.
