We want our rescued pets to have loving, permanent homes and will do all that we can to match them with the right home and family.  Please let us know what you are looking for in a new pet (i.e. personality, activity level, and family compatibility) so that we can help you find the perfect new family member!  Pet ownership is a commitment of many years, and you will receive many years of joy and love from your new pet.  All of our rescued pets live with a local foster family until their forever home is found.  They are all  checked by a veterinarian,  current on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered and dogs are micro-chipped.

Rambo is a big Maine Coon mix male cat, who is affectionate and loves attention.  He would prefer to live with no dog or a dog that will not bother him. He is litter box trained and enjoys hanging out with his human and his sister Cali.  Rambo and Cali need to be adopted together.  (For more information on Cali please go to https://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/32361101/)

Rambo always wants to be by your side. He will paw, lick, and  do “love bites” if it means getting your attention. He enjoys sleeping right next to your face from time to time. Unlike Cali, he has a dark mane down his spine. His hair is thick and needs to be brushed occasionally for him to stay comfortable. Luckily, he loves being brushed.

Both  Rambo and Cali have bright, intelligent eyes and understand when you’re pleased or upset. They are much like small children; they react to things emotionally and intelligently, and they constantly seek your approval.

Rambo and Cali's history...

Cali and Rambo’s story starts 5 years ago in Puyallup, Washington, where they were adopted from Puyallup Animal Rescue. The original adopter could not keep them and listed them on Craigslist, even though they signed an agreement to give them back to the rescue should they not be able to keep them. Not knowing this, they were adopted again by a couple living in Washington. After 2 years, the couple had to move back in with family in Mississippi, which forced them to look for a temporary home for the cats.

Understanding that this was supposed to be a temporary arrangement, a friend offered to take Cali and Rambo. The only place they could be kept was a spare bedroom, but it would only be for a few months. A few months turned into 1 ½ years when the couple could not reclaim them. This hurt Cali and Rambo deeply, and understandably so, as they had little company aside from each other during that time.

Now, Cali and Rambo share a one bedroom apartment with 2 other cats. They require lots of love, but also attention, time, devotion, and space. With adequate space, they will get along with other cats. They have never dealt with dogs before and therefore dislike them, but a dog with a mellow personality who won’t chase after them should be fine. They have never been around children, but any child who knows how to behave around animals (no tail pulling, screaming, etc.) should be fine also.
