We want our rescued pets to have loving, permanent homes and will do all that we can to match them with the right home and family. Please let us know what you are looking for in a new pet (i.e. personality, activity level, and family compatibility) so that we can help you find the perfect new family member! Pet ownership is a commitment of many years, and you will receive many years of joy and love from your new pet. All of our rescued pets live with a local foster family until their forever home is found. They are all checked by a veterinarian, current on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered and dogs are micro-chipped.
ELVIS IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE HE IS ADOPTED!
Elvis is a 2 year old, 45 pounds Black & Tan Coonhound/Beagle mix. He was found in very bad shape out in the country. He was heavy heart worm positive and extremely thin. We have fattened him up, gotten rid of those pesky heart worms, completely vetted him and now he is ready to find his forever home!
Elvis has been learning his indoor manners and loves life inside now! He is a bit of a couch potato when he hangs out inside, but once he gets outside, he will run the backyard with his nose leading the way! Elvis is house and crate trained, although he will bark after a while in his crate. He LOVES squeaky toys! Elvis also loves to play with his toys and flip them up in the air, catching them or running after them. He is great with other dogs, big and small. He does have a habit when he gets nervous, he will pace the floor. He greets strangers at the door with a happy tail and a big hug! Elvis is a food bowl guarder, so we recommend NO small children in the home. He does not guard his toys or treats, just his food bowl. He loves to ride in the car and walks pretty good on leash, although he does pull some. Elvis will require a completely fenced in backyard.
Elvis has been neutered, is current on his vaccinations, microchipped and has had a 6 month Pro-Heart shot. His adoption fee of $450 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Elvis up north after he has been adopted.
If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com. You can apply to adopt Elvis here: http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net/adoption-application22.html.
THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!
