We want our rescued pets to have loving, permanent homes and will do all that we can to match them with the right home and family.  Please let us know what you are looking for in a new pet (i.e. personality, activity level, and family compatibility) so that we can help you find the perfect new family member!  Pet ownership is a commitment of many years, and you will receive many years of joy and love from your new pet.  All of our rescued pets live with a local foster family until their forever home is found.  They are all  checked by a veterinarian,  current on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered and dogs are micro-chipped.

Darla is your classic rat terrier.  She loves her foster mom, but is aloof to strangers.  She likes kids 10 and over with excellent doggy manners, and your lap most of all! Darla is a rat terrier lover’s dream!  Darla was found in the absolute middle of nowhere by a fellow rescuer, presumably dumped. Darla is house trained, crate trained, and walks well on a harness and leash. She asks nothing here except to be loved a little and given some lap time if it is offered. She is looking for a home where she can be the only or one of two dogs. Darla really likes people more than dogs. She ignores the others in her foster home.  TOTALLY.  She is quiet and calm and loves a patch of sun for a nap.  Darla’s best forever home will have a securely fenced yard, and a history of excellent veterinary care for current or previous pets.  Prior specific breed experience will be given preference.  Darla is approximately 4 years old.

Darla is spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations and is microchipped.  Her adoption fee is $200.
