We want our rescued pets to have loving, permanent homes and will do all that we can to match them with the right home and family.  Please let us know what you are looking for in a new pet (i.e. personality, activity level, and family compatibility) so that we can help you find the perfect new family member!  Pet ownership is a commitment of many years, and you will receive many years of joy and love from your new pet.  All of our rescued pets live with a local foster family until their forever home is found.  They are all  checked by a veterinarian,  current on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered and dogs are micro-chipped.

Marilyn is a stunning 3 year old Pointer/Terrier mix.   She is about 50 lbs. She is EXTREMELY athletic and high energy and needs an active home that can provide her with lots of exercise.   Marilyn is a fan of stuffed Kongs and knuckle/marrow bones.   These help to keep her busy. Marilyn is a very sweet, very affectionate dog who loves every second of attention she can get. She is also incredibly smart, and it would be amazing if her new home had someone who can continue to train her through positive reinforcement, she loves learning new tricks. Marilyn is a dog that loves to be challenged. Loves learning new commands. She has mastered sit, shake, watch, come, and is working on heel.   Marilyn has met several kids and is incredibly sweet with them. Since Marilyn is very high energy though we feel a home with older kids or an adult only home would be the best fit for her.

She needs a slow introduction on her own terms to humans, but after that she warms up really quickly and gives kisses. She likes men but LOVES women. 

Marilyn is good with other dogs.   She LOVES long walks and exploring, and needs a big fenced in yard. She has one favorite toy, a ball on a sling, and she could literally play with that for four hours in a row. Marilyn is kennel, leash, and house trained.
