We want our rescued pets to have loving, permanent homes and will do all that we can to match them with the right home and family. Pet ownership is a commitment of many years, and you will receive many years of joy and love from your new pet. All of our rescued pets live with a local foster family until their forever home is found. They are all checked by a veterinarian, current on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered and dogs are micro-chipped.

Wally is a black retriever/shepherd mix that we estimate to be 6-7 years old. Wally was found at a rural gas station curled up in a pile of trash trying to stay warm in the cold winter. It took some convincing, but after about 15 minutes, he finally allowed a good Samaritan to get him in the car and take him home. He had a horrible eye infection and was fairly nervous of meeting new people and dogs. Wally's eye is all healed up, and the hair around his eye has grown back nicely. He is kennel trained and has NEVER had an accident in the house. He walks well on a leash, but he is not a fan of car rides and gets a little scared. He enjoys his own company the most, but he will hang out with the other extremely low energy dogs. He is also cat friendly. He is very laid back and does not require much exercise at all. He is always gentle when taking treats. Wally is the sweetest, gentlest dog and did not do anything to deserve being abandoned. All he wants is a sweet, quiet family where he can be loved and enjoy his golden years.
He is fully vetted including neuter, microchip, and all shots as well as rabies shot. His adoption fee of $500 includes the transport to VA.
