We want our rescued pets to have loving, permanent homes and will do all that we can to match them with the right home and family. Please let us know what you are looking for in a new pet (i.e. personality, activity level, and family compatibility) so that we can help you find the perfect new family member! Pet ownership is a commitment of many years, and you will receive many years of joy and love from your new pet. All of our rescued pets live with a local foster family until their forever home is found. They are all checked by a veterinarian, current on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered and dogs are micro-chipped.
**LADY IS IN A FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO NJ ONCE ADOPTED**
**Breed Experience Preferred**
This is Lady. This beautiful girl is 1.5 (max) year old, well trained petite Dogo Argentino with a very sweet & laid-back disposition. In the house, she's very subdued, loves her people and loves cuddle time even more. If we are playing boardgames at the kitchen table, she likes to sit on her own chair (or behind you on your chair) and watch what's going on. Outside, she's very alert, watches everything, and LOVES to play fetch with her people or she will throw the ball around by herself. Lady definitely needs mental stimulation & some form of physical exercise DAILY. This can be long walks with ample sniff opportunities, one on one training (she is very smart & obedient), car rides, etc. I can also see Lady dominating obstacle courses & excelling some form of scent field work.
This breed has a strong prey drive so a house with cats will not work and due to her strength, older, respectful children with previous pet experience is preferred. She will thrive as an only pet or in a house with existing pets. She currently resides in a home with multiple dogs, of all ages & sizes ranging from 4lbs to 90lbs. The only issue we have had is our personal dog wanting to show dominance by mounting her, and she said NO THANK YOU SIR!! She does pull on a leash at the beginning of a walk but calms down pretty quick, that will stop with routine walks. She has excellent recall and takes correction well. The key with Lady is positive re-enforcement, structure, and being shown lots of love. This sweet girl loves to give & receive lots of love.
Lady's adoption fee of $550 includes transportation to NJ with a licensed and registered USDA transport company.
If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com and we will answer as soon as we can.
