We want our rescued pets to have loving, permanent homes and will do all that we can to match them with the right home and family. Please let us know what you are looking for in a new pet (i.e. personality, activity level, and family compatibility) so that we can help you find the perfect new family member! Pet ownership is a commitment of many years, and you will receive many years of joy and love from your new pet. All of our rescued pets live with a local foster family until their forever home is found. They are all checked by a veterinarian, current on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered and dogs are micro-chipped.

Hello, my name is Spade and I’m here to sweep you off your feet. I am a 1.5 year old pit bull mix around 60 pounds! I’m looking for my forever home and family to call my own! I’m a high-energy dude, always ready for an adventure. Whether it’s chasing a ball, exploring the great outdoors, or learning new things, count me in! I’m super smart and a quick learner – especially if treats are involved. I’m not just about playtime; I’m a cuddler too! Belly rubs? Yes, please! I thrive on human attention and will happily sit in your lap – even if I’m a bit bigger than your average lap dog. I’m kennel trained and doggy door trained. I also walk very well on a leash! I love playing with toys, but a Kong with frozen peanut butter, is my favorite! I love playing with other dogs of all sizes. I love kids so much that I may knock little ones down, I get very excited! I’m truly a dog that doesn’t meet a stranger. Spade’s loving personality and irresistible charm will bring happiness to those lucky enough to have him in their lives. Spade is sure to become a beloved member of a family for years to come. He is completely vetted. Vetting includes spaying/neutering, microchip, rabies as well as all puppy vaccinations, and has been on preventatives. His adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Spade up north to his new family.
