We want our rescued pets to have loving, permanent homes and will do all that we can to match them with the right home and family. Please let us know what you are looking for in a new pet (i.e. personality, activity level, and family compatibility) so that we can help you find the perfect new family member! Pet ownership is a commitment of many years, and you will receive many years of joy and love from your new pet. All of our rescued pets live with a local foster family until their forever home is found. They are all checked by a veterinarian, current on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered and dogs are micro-chipped.
*** CHARLIE IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE ADOPTED! ***
It has been my pleasure to foster Charlie in my home since latter July. He was approximately six/seven weeks when he came to stay with us. His coat is a deep charcoal grey and his eyes are grey/blue, a very handsome boy. He is, of course, an active, energetic puppy he is also healthy and very intelligent. In the few weeks that he has been with us, he has learned sit, come, stay, place, and leave it; he is also house and kennel trained. He is food motivated and easy to train with consistency.
Charlie sleeps in his kennel all night, he doesn’t make any noise until morning when he whines to let me know he needs to go outside. He and my dog, Sadie, are great friends and play together even though Sadie is much larger. When he is ready to rest, he is content to lay near me. He likes to lay beside me on the couch and be stroked and loved. Charlie loves people, I believe he will be a wonderful playmate for children and an excellent protector. He has just realized that he can bark and will ‘back up’ my Sadie, who is an excellent guard dog. Charlie will probably be a medium size dog when full grown, he is waiting for his forever home and so deserves to be treated like the special dog he is. He will be a loyal and loving companion.
