In July 2024, Augie was found in Midtown during a Memphis summer heatwave with temperatures near 100 degrees. Rabbits are prone to heatstroke above 80 degrees, so we’re grateful he was taken inside before succumbing to the oppressive heat. 

Augie is an adventurous, confident rabbit bursting with curiosity. This handsome boy enjoys exploring, looking high or low for the treat stash. Or you may find him under your feet, wondering what you’re up to. When it’s time to slow down, Augie will join you on the couch for cuddle time. Augie loves the top of strawberries with the leaves, but will turn his nose up to a strawberry without leaves! He also enjoys banana, blueberries, romaine lettuce and cilantro. Far from an idle spirit, Augie is quite the busy boy, and will do best in a home with plenty of free-roam time. Give him space to stretch his legs and he’ll soon show you his best binkies!
