We want our rescued pets to have loving, permanent homes and will do all that we can to match them with the right home and family.  Please let us know what you are looking for in a new pet (i.e. personality, activity level, and family compatibility) so that we can help you find the perfect new family member!  Pet ownership is a commitment of many years, and you will receive many years of joy and love from your new pet.  All of our rescued pets live with a local foster family until their forever home is found.  They are all  checked by a veterinarian,  current on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered and dogs are micro-chipped.

Gage is sweet, calm, and very smart. Gage is about 1 years old Shepherd/Black Mouth Cur mix pup weighing in at 45lbs. If you love the look and intelligence of a shepherd in a small package, do not miss out on handsome Gage! He is also quick to learn new commands. He is very observant. If he was a human, his skill would be "reading the room." He walks well on a lead, knows the commands sit, come, off, and leave it. Gage gets lots of love from his people (and give it right back!). He is fostered with dogs ranging in age from 1-15 years old and in size from 15lbs to 60lbs. He plays very well with all of the other dogs in his foster home. Gage takes cues perfectly from his pack as well as his people. He would enjoy the company of another well temperamental canine friend or would be happy focusing all of his attention on his person. But, keep in mind, Gage's favorite thing is playing chase with his foster siblings! His BFF is a sweet black female hound/lab mix. Gage walks well on a leash. He is also house trained and crate trained. Gage enjoys going on rides in the car. He does well with other dogs as well as children. He would be a great addition to any family! 

Gage is neutered, microchipped, UTD on all shots, as well as current on heartworm prevention, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transportation to his new home in MD. New Beginnings Animal Rescue uses  a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Gage to his new home.
