Willow needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
We want our rescued pets to have loving, permanent homes and will do all that we can to match them with the right home and family. Please let us know what you are looking for in a new pet (i.e. personality, activity level, and family compatibility) so that we can help you find the perfect new family member! Pet ownership is a commitment of many years, and you will receive many years of joy and love from your new pet. All of our rescued pets live with a local foster family until their forever home is found. They are all checked by a veterinarian, current on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered and dogs are micro-chipped.
Hi everyone - my name is Willow!! I'm a beautiful 8 month old German Shepherd/Lab mix and weigh 65 pounds. I was rescued along with my 7 sisters and brothers. We were born outside and our previous owners didn't take very good care of us. We had very little human contact; all we had was our momma and each other. Thankfully we were rescued by my foster mommy, and were finally able to experience human touch and love! We received medical care and didn't have to worry anymore about having enough to eat. All of my brothers and sisters have been adopted to wonderful homes and I am still searching for my furever home. My foster mommy tells me I'm very special, so we have to find the very best home with a family that understands me! I love to fetch and play with other dogs and kids. I even like cats! My favorite toys are a rubber chicken and my glow in the dark ball. I am excelling at this fun game where you hide treats in a toy and I have to figure out how to get the treat out. I love to run and play outside and can do that for hours. I also like to come in and cuddle with you on the couch or bed. I am working on my leash training, but it bothers me when someone is pulling on my neck so my foster mommy uses something called a harness on me and that works better.
Per her foster mom: Willow will need a home with another "friendly" dog that she can bond with. Willow is very shy and sometimes she scares easily. She is still a little shy around men (we think a man was mean to her). With lots of love, work, and understanding, Willow has gained a lot of confidence and is really coming out of her shell. She needs a family that can continue to work with her and be patient, reassuring, and just love her for who she is! She is the sweetest little girl I have ever met. She has worked with trainers and they are willing to keep working with her and her new family! She knows a few commands like "sit and down," is house trained, and is working on her leash training. Though she is learning, she will still need help and conditioning on these skills. She has a wonderful personality, beautiful soulful eyes, and loves to cuddle and have her ears rubbed.
Willow is up to date on shots, has been spayed, microchipped, is heart worm negative, and on heart worm and flea preventative. Her adoption fee is $170. If you think Willow is a match for you and and are interested in adopting her, please contact us at newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com or to fill out an online application, please go to this link: http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net/Adoption_Application.html.
