We want our rescued pets to have loving, permanent homes and will do all that we can to match them with the right home and family. Please let us know what you are looking for in a new pet (i.e. personality, activity level, and family compatibility) so that we can help you find the perfect new family member! Pet ownership is a commitment of many years, and you will receive many years of joy and love from your new pet. All of our rescued pets live with a local foster family until their forever home is found. They are all checked by a veterinarian, current on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered and dogs are micro-chipped.
Meet Maddie. Our partner vet says she is less than two years old. She was 40 lbs at her last visit, but Maddie certainly doesn't look like she weighs 40 lbs - she is very petite! She is house-trained, crate-trained, walks well on a leash and LOVES CHILDREN! She'll lay next to you on the couch for as long as you will let her but will also go run or walk as long as you'd like, too! Like any young dog, she loves good toy or bone, and Kongs filled with peanut butter and treats are her favorite! She's not very vocal but is super affectionate and loves to go for car rides. She is also trained on an underground fence and knows basic commands like sit, outside, leave it and kennel. If you have a free hand, Maddie will make sure that you are using it to rub her belly or her head. And as you can see in the pictures, she is ALWAYS wagging her tail.
My husband and I affectionately call her Maddie Moo because of her 'udders.' After nursing a litter of nine very large puppies, her teats may not ever completely 'shrink' back to normal (but the Moms out there will totally understand that). Also, she only has three toes on her front left foot. We aren't sure if it was an injury or if she was born that way, but it doesn't slow her down a bit and we even think it makes her SUPER special!
MADDIE is in a foster home in North Mississippi and will be transported to Pennsylvania via Got Orphans Transport which is a registered and licensed transportation company that works with southern rescues to transport dogs to their forever homes.
Her adoption fee is $325 which includes the transport fee, health certificate, microchip and of course all vetting that has already been done or is in progress.
