Learn more about the Schnauzer.
We want our rescued pets to have loving, permanent homes and will do all that we can to match them with the right home and family. Please let us know what you are looking for in a new pet (i.e. personality, activity level, and family compatibility) so that we can help you find the perfect new family member! Pet ownership is a commitment of many years, and you will receive many years of joy and love from your new pet. All of our rescued pets live with a local foster family until their forever home is found. They are all checked by a veterinarian, current on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered and dogs are micro-chipped.
Fanny is in a foster home in the Memphis, TN area.
Fanny is a 2 year old female Schnauzer / terrier mix. She has the wiry hair of a Schnauzer or Wire haired Terrier. She will require minimal care to her hair and shouldn't shed much if any. Fanny currently weighs about 15 pounds but is underweight due to just having a litter of puppies. Fanny is a small sized dog and probably won't be more than around 20 lbs. Fanny loves to play with her other foster dogs but will chase the cats if they run from her. She thinks this is a great game but she is learning that cats are not to be chased.
Fanny is up to date on her vaccinations, spayed and micro-chipped. She is also heartworm negative and on monthly preventative. She is house trained (with only an occasional accident that was a much my fault as hers). She does well on a leash and is crate trained but prefers not to be crated. Fanny and her babies were rescued from a local animal shelter. She is a very sweet and a somewhat active dog who loves to play fetch and play with her toys.
